About the Designer

My Work

My design style is a reflection of the duality that shaped me—growing up in Zambia and later training in Rome. It’s a fusion of vibrant African energy and refined European structure, where bold contrasts coexist in balance. I’m drawn to light, material, and texture as tools to tell stories within space. My background in scenography taught me to create immersive environments that feel real, even when built from illusion. Whether designing for theater, film, or interiors, I approach each project by shaping atmosphere—through thoughtful use of color, light, and spatial flow. I’m attentive to detail but always design with the whole experience in mind. I design with a deep respect for place: I work with what is locally available, value natural materials, and aim to integrate rather than impose. My style is practical, expressive, and rooted in cultural and environmental sensitivity—always aiming to create spaces that feel both grounded and imaginative.

Biography

I grew up in Zambia, surrounded by vivid colors, strong light, and a deep connection to nature—sensory elements that continue to shape my design sensibility. Moving to Rome at 15 introduced me to a contrasting aesthetic rooted in European tradition. This cultural duality became central to my creative identity. Starting with painting, my artistic path evolved through sculpture and technical drawing, eventually leading to scenography, where I learned to create immersive, believable environments for theater, film, and television. This foundation taught me to tell stories through space—balancing atmosphere, function, and emotion. Interior design became a natural extension of this vision. Combining a scenographer’s eye with a practical mindset shaped by my Zambian roots, I design with sensitivity to place, using local resources and crafting spaces that harmonize concept, culture, and functionality.
